Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Slancio (“Service”, “Platform”) at slancio.io, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these Terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Description of service

Slancio is an AI-powered ad creation platform designed for solo developers and indie hackers. The Service analyses your product, generates ad copy, creative concepts, video scripts, and publish-ready ad assets for platforms such as Meta, TikTok, and Google. The Service orchestrates calls to third-party AI providers using API keys you supply (“Bring Your Own Key” model) and returns generated outputs to you.

3. Bring Your Own Key (BYOK)

The core of Slancio's model is that you supply your own API keys for third-party AI providers (including but not limited to OpenAI, Anthropic, Runway, and similar services). By providing API keys, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are solely responsible for all costs and charges incurred at the respective AI providers as a result of API calls made through Slancio on your behalf. Slancio applies no markup to these costs, but we are not responsible for unexpected charges arising from your usage patterns or provider pricing changes.
  • You are responsible for ensuring your use of those API keys complies with each provider's own terms of service and acceptable use policies.
  • You are responsible for revoking or rotating keys if you believe they have been compromised.
  • Slancio stores your keys encrypted (AES-256) and decrypts them only in-memory at generation time. We are not liable for provider-side security incidents or unauthorised usage outside our platform.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Slancio offers free and paid subscription tiers. The subscription fee covers access to the Slancio software platform only. It does notcover the costs you incur directly at third-party AI providers through your own API keys — those costs are billed by the respective providers to you directly. Payments are processed through Stripe. All fees are in USD and are non-refundable unless required by applicable law. We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 14 days' notice.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Slancio to:

  • Generate ads, copy, or content that is illegal, fraudulent, defamatory, or infringes on any intellectual property rights.
  • Create spam, unsolicited commercial messages, or deceptive advertising that violates applicable advertising standards or platform policies (including Meta, TikTok, and Google policies).
  • Promote products or services that are illegal in the target jurisdiction, including but not limited to unlicensed financial services, counterfeit goods, or controlled substances.
  • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against any individual or group.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or reproduce the Slancio platform or its underlying models.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or Slancio's systems.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without prior notice.

6. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of any content you input into the Service (your app URL, descriptions, brand assets). You own the ad creatives generated for you by the Service, subject to the terms of the AI provider that produced them. The Slancio platform, its UI, code, and any proprietary models are owned by Slancio and may not be reproduced or redistributed without written permission.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that generated ad content will comply with any specific advertising platform policy, achieve any particular performance result, or be free from errors.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Slancio and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, business interruption, or costs incurred at third-party AI providers, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Slancio in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Slancio and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

10. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms, non-payment, or if required by law. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Italy, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Italy.
